Volunteer of the Month: Elina Torma

Elina’s YFU journey spans countries, continents, and years of continued commitment. What began as an exchange experience from Hungary to Japan became the start of a lifelong connection to YFU and its mission.

Over time, that first experience evolved into active engagement across the global network. Elina has volunteered with multiple YFU member organizations and contributed to international initiatives for the YFU global network.

Since 2021, she has been an integral part of YFU Spain, supporting both day-to-day work and marketing projects. No matter the task, she brings consistency, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility to everything she does.

What truly defines Elina is not only her extensive experience across YFU, but the way she shows up for others. She is known for her positive energy, her reliability, and her willingness to help wherever she is needed. Students, host families, and colleagues alike benefit from her thoughtful and supportive presence.

Across every role she has taken on, one thing remains constant: her commitment to people. Whether in direct support, behind-the-scenes work, or international collaboration, she contributes with care, empathy, and dedication.

Elina reflects what YFU is at its core: a community built on connection, shared responsibility, and the belief that small actions, when carried out with heart, can have a lasting impact.

Gracias, Elina!
